Master of Theology Degree Program Description
The Master of Theology Degree Program (M.Th.) is 60 trimester hours in length, and provides a Biblical and theological foundation of study for all Christians, especially for those in the pulpit ministry. 
Each student will be assigned a mentor to help him or her throughout this online program.

A total of 60 trimester hours are required with a minimum of 40 semester hours from Cohen Institute. A 3.0 GPA is required on a scale of 4.0. Each course is worth 3 semester hours. A thesis must be submitted which is worth 9 credit hours.

CITH 805        What is Truth                                                                      
This course emphasizes the truth of Scripture. It uses many different aspects of God to prove his existence and the role of his Messiah.

CITH 825         Graduate Hermeneutics                                                         
This course discusses the interpretation of the Scriptures. It identifies the different processes used and how to deduce the correct interpretation.

CITH 850        Systematic Theology I by Paul Tillich Vol 1 & 2                    
This course begins with the basics of Systematic Theology. It will discuss the different aspects and give a more in-depth overview if each of the aspects.

CITH 860        Reign of Grace                                                                       
This course will discuss the dispensation of Grace under which we now live. It will look at specific scriptural passages that will identify the gift of grace that God has bestowed on mankind.

CITH 865        Preaching 101                                                                        
This course will instruct the student on proper pulpit etiquette and the fundamentals of preaching.

CIMI 810         Discipleship: The Call to God’s Discipline                           
This course will explore the different areas of discipleship Using Jesus’ earthly ministry as a guideline.

CIMI 815         Building Strong Leaders                                                        
This course teaches the importance of strong leadership in the Church today. It gives the different areas that need to be strengthened to create a healthy community.

CICC 800       Hereditary Traits                                                                  
This course will delve into the concept of a generational curse and the process of breaking the cycle of destructive influences.

CITH 810        Ethics by Dietrich Bonheoffer                                              
This course is based on Bonheoffer’s work teaching the ethical behavior of today’s Believer. It gives a foundational basis of theology and is a required course for every student.

CITH 815        In Defense of the Word of Faith                                             
This course deals with the historical facts of the Word of Faith Movement from the turn of the century until modern times.

CITH 806        An In-depth Study of the Book of James                                
This course will study the book of James verse-by-verse that through the revelation of the Spirit we will have a better understanding of the truths in this book.

CITH 828        The Holy Spirit and You (Renner)                                         
This course focuses on the work of the Holy Spirit and how we can learn to flow and minister.

CIMI 903        Tithing, Before, During and after the Law                            
This course will discuss Tithing and examine scriptural references concerning suitable tithing.

CIMI 820        Training a Disciple (Mentoring and Releasing)                     
This course entails the process of raising up disciples and releasing them into ministry.  It defines the process of helping disciples mature in the Word of God.

CILA 803        Basics of Biblical Studies I
This course introduces the student to the Hebrew Aleph-Bet and the Vowel pointing system as well as nouns, adjectives and prepositions.

CIPR 999 Practicum
The student must serve in a ministry capacity of h/her choosing with the approval of the Dean of Theology (5 credit hours).  Forms for verification can be obtained from the administration office.
